About the Therapist
Chelsea is a Registered Massage Therapist in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. She graduated from Sir Sanford Fleming College’s Massage Therapy program in 2016. Previously, she attained her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Guelph. She has a passion for massage therapy, which allows her to combine her love of helping people with her love of biology. She enjoys continuing to learn, spending her time reading research, engaging in discussions with peers and taking courses to further her understanding of the human body. In her free time she enjoys staying active, working out with her Grandma and hiking with her dog Juno.
Chelsea practices a Swedish style massage using long, rhythmical strokes to manipulate soft tissues. Massage is not a miracle cure for everything, but it can certainly be helpful for stress, aches and pains. It can help you to attain the level of wellness you desire. Massage may leave you feeling a little sore the next day, but it shouldn’t be too painful or uncomfortable during your session. Please speak up if something is uncomfortable or doesn’t feel right.
Massage pairs well with exercise. Persistent pain often improves with exercise as well. Exercise can help to build confidence in movement and desensitize painful areas. Exercise offers many benefits including preventing or treating many health conditions, improving mood, boosting energy, promoting better sleep and helping with weight control.
